Hello all, I bought a cure bottle awhile ago and cannot find any info on Dixie glass works except that they were in Tullapoosa Ga, sometime between 1907 and 1914. My bottle has a tooled top and seems older than 1907 because of the "cure" wording, and the non automatic bottle machine tooled lip. It has a logo on the bottom in an oval that says Dixie. same company or is there an older version of same??? other searches for the same co come up with Tennessee and Mississippi as locations but I think they were plate glass companies only.......

No I hadnt, Thanx for the info Jim, looks like they started in 1889, which fits the age of my cure bottle a bit better![:)] Of course it may be as late as 1906 or so as maybe they used older methods rather than investing in a new bottle machine.
