1870s would be about right for that umbrella form. I'm a bit surprised at mid-west though... If I'd have had to give a geographic location based on form, I would have said eastern...

Well I have some info. It is a St. Louis bottle. There was a Guthrie's ink manufacturer in the 1870's, and it pretty rare as well.
It is a nice little ink well. Thanks for the help guys!

That's funny, 'cause it hit me as Western sounding. I guess it's just the Eureka thing. Always good to see something turn up that nobody's heard of before.
