after a few trips to the library, I have made a lot of progress with matching up RI soda companys years of operation to some extent and the owners of the companys. Anybody know a good free website to search someones name to get infomation like news articles or obits so I can further confirm dates and infomation regarding the owners.

It's not free, but there may be someone you know with access to Ancestry.com. I have used the combination of city directories and ancestry to flesh out lots of background on the people behind the names on my bottles. The best thing is still the library or local historical society. In some of the censuses, censi?, there is a column for jobs, that helps too. Hope that helps a little.

Make sure to cancel it before the "free trial" runs out and save the cancellation notice. I have heard HORROR stories from people being charged after they cancelled, they actually had to cancel their cards because they kept getting charged...[8|]
