Isn't it! I read one news feed, in which the bottle from Nova Scotia was described as a an open pontil, cobalt blue, squat soda, embossed with a schooner and anchor monogram, from a small confectionery and soda water firm located along Halifax's docks in the mid-1850s, and that this bottle was manufactured at a yet-to-be-documented glassworks just outside of Dartmouth. Just kidding! Love the story, love Nova Scotia, and love bottles from that great province!!!
I did that note in a bottle thing once, I almost got fined for littering. It's a good thing the the tide was coming in 'cause they gave me a break if I'd pick it up. Anyway, she was standing right there so she got it. It was very romantic.[]
