Hello All,
I recently took a trip to the island of Tinian. As some of you might recall, this island hosted one of the largest airfields in WW2 and is the site where the Enola Gay and Bockscar took off with the atomic bombs bound for Japan. I had the good fortune of finding several old dumps on the island while I was there. All were littered with various U.S. and Japanese bottles from the war times. I did find bottle that I am having difficulty dating and was hoping someone here could help. I have determined the manufacturer to be Maywood Glass Company (distinct logo on bottom). I am having trouble determining what the other markings mean. One is the number 7112 with a rectangle around it and the other is the number 20 with a square around it. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I apologize for the poor quality photo but all I had to use this evening was a crappy old digital camera.
