Hello all,

Here is a pot lid that I have recently found. I've never seen this one. Is it a rare one? Any info on age, value, etc would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi,
Very nice lid which dates to around 1900 and comes in several different shades in similar colours to the John Gosnell Queens Head Pot Lids though this one is much rarer. They usually sell in the range $200 - $300 depending on the colour and obviously condition.

Wow! That's great info! Thanks very much Trog.

I have found several of the same lids with queen Victoria on them but this was the first one with a Kings head.

Thanks again.

Hi Trog,

My lid has a lot of colour on it such as the yellowish face, the greens, and also has a sky blue line on the outer edge of the print. I tried to take a good picture but am not able to do much better than this. Is there much variation in age / value on the colour differences?

Both these lids shown would be of roughly the same value. The yellow background are probably the most desirable but still do not add a great deal more to the value.

Interesting finds, that's not Queen Vickie, who is the gent on these? Is it the manufacturer?

Hi Rick,
Not certain who he is but think it is Queen Victoria,s son that became King after her Death in 1901
