Yes there have been two or more posts about metal bottles. Having worked in the industry, I can't remember any need for or application of solid metal bottles - or even empty ones. Is this aluminum one hollow? Is there any hint of a centering devise on the bottom of it?

We had a Monarch Lathe with a hydraulic cross slide that carried a rotating master for boring the square bottle mold cavities of milk bottle molds. That is the only application that might have benefited from a metal master.

Interesting subject anyway. RED Matthews

Don't know anything about it Red other than the picture he sent of it . I do remember there being a description of some kind concerning this type of bottle on here some time ago but for the likes of me I can not remember what the person said about it .

Looks to me like those old aluminum milk bottles, they had back in the day, that you tried to knocked down at a carnival game. Just my guess
