I have an old Edison special battery oil bottle that still has the oil in it. Just curious if having the oil increases the value or decreases? I figure it would increase but don't want an old bottle of oil sitting on the shelf if possible.
I'm not saying to empty it, but I don't see how the oil increases the value. I can buy 100 of them on eBay, are you telling me if I add oil and cork them I could get more than I paid for them empty, I'd like that to be the case but I doubt it... []ORIGINAL: cowseatmaize
If it's OK I'd like to disagree with Jim. That's not as common a form as most.
It may not be all that wanted by bottle collectors but may do well to others fields of hobby.
It's is a hard picture to see though and I don't know if it has or ever had a label so it's a tough call for me.
I'd leave that as is myself.
If so I know what to do with my next oil change. []are you telling me if I add oil and cork them I could get more than I paid for them empty,

It adds to the gravitational pull on the item.
