Hey Folks. I used to tumble bottles and jars and have always wanted to try reconditioning a marble. I finally was able to try this. These are my first three reconditioned german handmade glass marbles. I know there is a lot to learn but it was fun doing this. I'm hooked. I would only keep these reconditioned marbles for myself. Just sharing. Hope you like the pics. Best regards to all and make it a great day. Paul

I know nothing about marbles other that my dad a a bucket full in the basement of his house. I need a good book and to go through them.I know that there are a few additions I made in the 60's by opening the old hairspray cans.[:)]

Unfortunately when you polish with a machine the pontils are gone. Here is a pic of an onionskin marble that I dug in a privy in 1997 in LaPorte Indiana. It was a 7 footer that I dug by myself. As I was knocking down the walls on the way up this marble came rolling down. I just reached out and grabbed it. I had always thought about having it polished but never did. This past weekend I figured it was time to do it so this is the fourth marble that I've polished so far. Here are before and after pics. The finish size is 1 & 37/64".Best regards to all. Paul
