Nice! I'm glad that Pansy is treating you well. It looks like you've got some serious snow outside your window! Better get that snowblower and shovel fired up! Interesting lid, it's a little surprising that some debris got into the glass and made it out into the real world. Maybe Red Matthews would have something to say about that one. That Crown jar sure doesn't look PUCE to me. It sort of looks like that yellowish/brown tint that, if irradiated, would turn gasoline color.

Hey Tom , the PANSY has snuggled in nicely on the shelf.I was hoping RED Matthews would offer a techincal explanation for that jar lid anomaly. We have a serious winter going on. If the snow keeps coming I will be in great physical condition for digging season. [:D]

Well I just got to this posted thread. I see where you wanted my opinion - but I can't explain the yellow spot on the lid. I didn't see any other oddity though. I have not worked much with canning jars except for the Clyde glass products. Sorry but I will try to get back to this thread ot see if you hit the subject questioned item a little more. Great hobby - for sire. RED M.
