my neighbor does a lot of detecting and dredging we live in Ellenboro NC he tells me there is more gold still in the ground in nc than there ever was in california do you have any idea if this is true

I have no idea, unfortunately. I believe that you can go over the same place quite a few times and still come up with gold. I have never been outside of Australia. I know that there are lots of gold detecting forums which maybe helpful, just not as good as this one[
