I generally have some idea of what I purchase is but I have to admit I just liked this piece without much insight. The alternating shades of amber and the rough little pontil scar are appealing along with the signs of having been buried although there is damaged to the lip. It was listed on eBay as a mineral water but it looked out of place and I guess that is what caught my attention , that and being inexpensive. Anyone recognize the form or glass house? Thanks in advance for any information. Tim

Hello Tim; I think your bottle is one that was made for whiskey. I don't have one even similar but I have a lot of bottles. The damaged lip is too bad, but that doesn't keep it from being collectable. I assume there are no seams on the finish that is there.
The bottom picture isn't clear enough to tell me much. That size of bottle would no doubt have a push-up tapered punty rod pontil in it. Just guessing. The design is ok, but I have to assume there are two mold seams on it. I guess there isn't any embossing. Do you figure it holds about a quart? Did the sellers listing tell you anything? I assume the glass is nearly black. Tell me more about the bottom. RED Matthews <bottlemysteries@yahoo.net>

I don't understand what happened. I replied to this post a few hours ago and it isn't here now. I will check tomorrow. Something isn't right. RED Matthews
