Went digging yesterday in Delaware County Pa. on some land we have permission. In the fall we found a crater ( 15 ft dia) in the woods and some shards a foot or so down. It was all covered in a foot or two of leaves so we knew we could go back at any time in the winter. Saturday morning we started digging the crater. Found a pontil ink ( w the base broken) and a lot of colored blank meds ( broken) Approx. 2 feet down we started finding whole bottles. Found a quart Wawa Milk ( w the shield) and a quart Chestnut Farms Dairy - Geo Oyster Jr( no town on bottle) . This bottle is from the Chevey Chase MD. area which is 130 miles away ! it was snowing a little and we were getting cold. My son dug a nice aqua blob - Geo Ringele Phila Pa... in total found about 15 or so asst'd bottles late 1800's and the 2 milks.. We have really only scratched the surface.
