Had a great time hitting Antique Stores the whole day, found many things to add in my collections and things to sell on the bay. Check out my Soda and Insulator Posts to see some other things I found.Actually found this one at a thrift shop, a Virgin Mary bottle with pontil. I am pretty sure this is a reproduction from Mexico, which I think still dates to the 1930's. For $3 I snatched it up, seeing they go pretty well on the bay.

This was a killer find for me. I skimmed through an Antique Shop which contained lots of interesting bottles. A Union Flask for $125, a Cornucopia Urn for $175, a Shaft & Globe $225 & many other interesting bottles. I didn't recognize this one, and $9 looked like a good price. Embossed: Hilton's Life For The Liver And Kidneys. I have only found one on the bay in aqua. It does however, have a small crack. Any info on these two bottles will be appreciated! Accepting offers on both, definitely selling the Virgin Mary.

Thanks Surf, the seam stops right when it reaches the neck, so I say BIM.

It looks like an applied handle and I am looking for more of them to be included in a home page blog I am putting together on them and the methods used for applying them. Some like yours have seams on them because the handle was formed in the mold. So if there are - there are also seams on the finish, which tells us it was an ABM product. RED Mathews

Hey Red, the Virgin of Mary bottle has no seams and looks like it was free blown. The handle is very sloppy and the lip & mouth of the bottle very small in proportion.

I did not have enough cash and didn't really know the value, so it was too big of a risk for me. It was olive green, but I don't remember if it had a seal. It was almost as big as an onion and had thick sides. Not sure if $225 is a good price?
