Any help with ID would be greatly appreciated. I can't figure out what was in it. I'm thinking it is circa 1890, as I dug it in a pre-toc dump near three complete "Duffy Malt Whiskey's"

Welcome to the forum, I'm thinking it would have held medicine and would date around TOC.I like it, but can't find anything about it.

So you are #4 for today. We are reading the postings but not getting enough information to help answer questions. At least type our the embossing and tell us where it is. Are there side seams on the finish (The top of the bottle!)? RED Matthews

Red, No prob. Thought the attached pictures were self explanatory, guess my bifocals are stronger than I thought. The seam ends at the base of the neck. Side Embossing reads:2 1/4 FL OZBig ValueBrand Also please note, the base has three little knobs evenly spaced around circumference. The bottle is 4 inches tall. Any help would be appreciated.ThanksAD

I'm thinking an extract myself but there were a lot of "value" branded stuff and without a label or one with one to compare it to, it's hard to know for sure.

I'd say almost definitely an extract. Looks just like the Shirriff's Flavouring Extracts we find up here in Canada. Also, anything Brand denotes a non-medicinal product, and the amount in ounces just really seems to imply a food product. Narrow that down to what you could fit in a bottle that size, and extract seems like the obvious answer.Certainly an interesting bottle, looks very ahead of its time. With a name like that you'd expect it to be from the fifties or so.
