Dug a odd Skull or bone or something?

Not a bottle but dug it down by the river side while digging for bottles. Never seen anything like it so took it out of Curiousity? Anybody know what this thing is? Maybe prehistoric Dinosour or something? LEON.

It's a shell. A cowrie, to be more specific. Sides cut off to make a napkin ring or some such trinket
