I haven't found a druggist bottle with writing on it yet , always find lots of the plain ones that would of used paper labels but never one with a name on it . I'm sure some must exist for my area I just haven't found one . but did find a shard of one a couple years ago from a local druggist who operated 1900's but no luck on a complete bottle

Goodman66: Now that's an exceptional one, for sure. Thanks for sharing. Clearly ABM with a seam-free lip, which suggests that the lip was treated with heat after being blown in an Owens' machine, similar to what was done to the lips of ABM milk bottles.

I found that makers mark - Obear Nester. I guess the larger companies could afford to do some smaller orders. Maybe they could change out the front plate on the mould to change names? I say that because one of the side seams is not straight , it's crooked which makes me think maybe it had a plate for the front. But that's just a swag. I'll put up a pic when I get home in the morning. Mitch

Here are some pics of the side seam. The other side is straight. [attachment=image.jpg]

Whoa, I missed this until now, Goodman1966 that's a great bottle! And from a small town no less. Looks like at least one company was making them at one point. Funny that more druggists didn't order them.

Couldn't agree more. Before ABM if the store wanted to pay and have molds made the glassworks were happy to make the bottles. After, not so much to have a dozen made for one size. Down here it was Rexall but if you notice they aren't seen with a city, state etc.. At least not that I've noticed.Bob, that's a nicely deformed bottle but not really on subject of machine made druggists.

I got a Rexall with City & State. LEON.

So I think todays drugs are put in specific plastic containers by the druggist. and their stores are only shelving the companies supplied containers. Ir is today's DGAS marketing system. We get all the BS on the TV advertizing. so we can ask our doctor if it would help us get our desired objective of life. RED M.
