In response to the 'Show your favorite Hutch!' chat in general bottles chat, I'd like to see everyone's favorite milk bottle (Or other dairy-related product bottle). As I have only one, I could only choose that one. But, what do you have to show us all? Okay, it keeps not letting me post this till now so I spent the last five minutes glaring at my screen. Heh. [:D]

Well, I don't collect milks, but I do happen to have a nice one. It's from the Perry Creamery Co. in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The special thing about this bottle is that I believe it is a 1934 ACL, which would make it the oldest or second oldest ACL. There is one other 1934 acl milk that I know of, but it's nearly impossible to tell which came first. This is the only bottle of this type I have ever seen from the company (with the blue acl and the design), and it is my favorite of my milk collection of just a few bottles.[attachment=IMG_1596.JPG] [attachment=IMG_1601.JPG]

I don't collect milks either unless they are from Eureka or very local. I did manage to dig a dream bottle to me. An unlisted Eureka dairy bottle. This is the only one known as far as I know. Dug it out of a dump along a creek. It says W.J. Nichols Dairy Eureka Illinois. This is also my only Eureka bottle and I dug it so it is far more special than any other bottle I will ever own. Sorry the picture isn't very good but the bottle is! [:)] Absolutely mint condition for being dug anyway. No chips or cracks. The ground around here is very nice to bottles!

This is a local ACL pint milk bottle. My dads grandfather milked cows at this dairy and it means a lot to me. It also is a rare milk bottle so if you have one or find one please let me know :)

ACLBottles, that's amazing!
BottleWorm, Congratulations on that find and I can easily see it in the photo.
BottleCapKid, Awesome. A former pastor of our Church had a grandfather who ran a Dairy aways away from here. They have several I hadn't seen before and probably won't. It's always nice to see family history back with the family and it has more unique subject matter.
Awesome bottles, you all!

You know what years those are from? They really stand out as they're highlighted. How exactly did you go about doing that? Random question: why did the old Chia-Pets commercial pop into mind?

"Rock Gate", "Third Quart", and the word "Farm" all make me really dig that one--pardon the pun. And for a dug bottle, it looks immaculate! Who's the glass maker and what's the date?
