Hello all,I found this beer bottle a few weeks ago while on a dive. It is embossed with "Wieland Bros / 212 W. 30th St / N.Y. / Registered / This bottle is not to be sold". The bottle itself is a crown top and has a lot if imperfections in the glass (bubbles, streaks, uneven sides and base, etc). This makes me believe that it could be a 1920s beer but i am not sure. If anyone has any info on this bottle such as age, company info, rarity, value, variations, etc etc, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks! [attachment=20140726_185302.jpg]

Well are there seams on the top capping finish of the bottle? If there are then it is a machine made bottle and now of great value. If there are not seams then we look at the finish glass and see if there are horizontal tool marks on the glass - then those lines would tell us it was a good collectable bottle, because it has an applied finish of hot glass that was tooled. Thanks everyone for the info! The mold lines do not go up the capped lip. It looks like the lip was applied at the end.

Refired and tooled crown tops were produced for a time, c.1905 to c.1915. Due to the difficulty of hand tooling the crown top, the crown top quickly shifted to machine production.
