I've collected bottles from Stroudsburg, PA for almost 20 years now. It's been five or six years since I added a new blob top beer to my collection, and this one is awesome! I had heard if this bottle but had never seen one, so when I got this one last week I was blown away by the look and layout of the embossing.
I also like bottles with typo's (there's a period after the town, not a comma) and I'm related to the Bush family, so this bottle has it all for me!

Nice. I've never seen one with embossing like that.

Hello Tim, This is the first post of yours that has caught my eye. That is one nice bottle.I noticed another mans comment about the embossing and assume that it is a normal slug plate name changing set-up. The finish is applied glass - tooled, and it is what I refer to as a tapered finish usually. But this is unique because of the length of the push down of the sloppy extra glass being pushed that far by the tool. All i can say is the hand blown product is always what the bottle maker did to make a useable bottle. I have been doing a study of bottles that were turned in the mold, to reduce the showing of mold seams. This could not be done to an embossed bottle without messing up the lettering. What I have been studying is the twisted stress lines, in the neck - from the blowpipe turning.I try to study all the different markings of their processes - as bottle mysteries until I understand what caused them. Nice blob! I spent a lot of time in Stroudsburg as a kid but only went back a few years ago for my uncles funeral. That's a town name I'd like to get.

Thanks for looking everyone. Very happy to add it. I've never seen another like it either. I can't find any solid information about the company anywhere, although I have an idea who the "Bush" is.It is a tooled finish (Red is right). Ed, I've actually had a pretty good year for locals. I have added about a dozen so far and I have another GREAT one coming this weekend! Eric, did you mean you'd like to "get" or "forget" Stroudsburg? If you're looking for a generic Stroudsburg bottle I can give you one. If you're trying to forget there's a different bottle...

I collect the Strouds Beer cans from Stroudsburg. Let me know if you ever find any, I'll pay big bucks for any of the cans pictured. LEON.
