Goodman from here sent me this a few weeks back along with all these bottles. I just don't know how to really research it. Any ideas as to age and place it was made? I have it as a crown capping one of my main-display crown-top bottles, but always wonder about it when I look. As for the other items, most I have looked into. There are two I have as of yet to research on. The one I'm not really sure how to research, even... Anyway, help on this awesome-looking marble?

Sorry no one has responded to this Robert. I dug this in a TOC dump. There were some late throws in it. How old this marble is I don't know. I pretty sure it's pre-1910 as I found it with some older crude little pill bottles. Sometimes it takes the marble guru's a while to come around. Sort of like the milks:). Mitch

Here are a few sites Bear that I found. Joes Marbles seems to be the most informative. To be honest, I have quite a few mixed marbles from the dump I frequent and still am in the dark as to the age of them.I know swirls patterns, type of material the marble is made of, and condition mean a lot. It just confuses me if I do not have a date code or product embossed on it. http://www.ehow.com/how_8387587_date-old-marbles.htmlhttp://www.collectorsweekly.com/art-glass/marbleshttp://joemarbles.com/1Marble%20Picture%20Pages/Marble%20Identification.htm

Hello Spirit Bear, I have just joined the forum and am loving finding bottles when I go marble hunting ( my first love). So base on how the pics come off on my screen, I believe this is a Vitro Agate Fancy Conqueror - shooter size it looks like. Hope this helps;) missdpin

Best info I've gotten on it so far other than the date-range. Thank you!!!! I had actually tried joining a Marble Forum, but it wouldn't let me!
WELCOME! I hope you enjoy the Forum.
