found this today at the lake, covered in muck. its ice blue (like the early cokes) and I thought at first it was a huge clam shell. it has no maker's marks that I can see. any guess as to age and what it is? I know its a bowl, but was it a candy dish, cereal bowl, etc. thanks in advance!

thanks Jimbo. It looks late teens, early twenties but I'm just not sure. I'd just hate to think I bought home some 1970's/80's junk...

Appears to be a "swirl" salad or cereal bowl. Not sure of the age. Maybe Seabreeze Arcoroc. Just a guess.

Looks like, on my screen at least, it has that rainbow affect of carnival glass. Clear. Could be wrong though-- depending on size and color scheme, my computer can make anything take on the full color spectrum..
This could have been made anytime in the last 100 years, if I recall, from that. They were a cheap buy that looked rich. Most people could afford them. My mom collects such items. They're still made.

Your little bowel would hold paper clips ok. Are there any mold seams The rib detail would have required at least three seams to release the glass when the mold opened. Is there any seam line around the top edge? It is attractive enough to keep. RED Matthews

We had these salad bowls growing up. Very strong, they took a beating. I was inclined to say late 70s, it may have still been made then. Coool seeing it again!
