Nice dig, the "Black Leaf" ("Black Leaf 40") bottle held a pesticide/livestock dip made of 40% nicotine sulphate extracted from tobacco byproducts. Very poisonous stuff, as nicotine can be absorbed directly through the skin. A 1 ounce bottle of the stuff contains the nicotine of 11,200 cigarettes, enough to overdose/kill gobs of people.

Thanks for all the replies. I just enjoy the digging and researching the finds. You just don't know what will show up in those 20's and 30's dumps. Thanks Plumbata for the info on the Black Leaf bottle. The temperatures are jumping around here lately. Hope to get back to digging again shortly. I know this stuff is not really that old, but keeps me coming back. Buster
