Hello to everyone, I had a question about this bottle. hopefully the photos are clear enough for you to see. This small bottle which is 3 7/8"(H) X 1 1/2"(W) X 1"(D) depicts what looks like a bust of one of the forefathers or a Quaker. Above that there is the word "TRADE" and below is the word "MARK". On one of the thinner sides it reads: T.H.M. CO. and on the other side it reads: NEW YORK. I can not really find anything about T.H.M. CO, so it follows that aside from this vague bust depiction, I do not know what their trademark would have been either. This bottle came out of a dump that was yielding bottles from the 1880s-90s . I am looking to find out if any of you guys or gals can tell me about the T.H.M. CO so I can have a better understanding as to what originally came in this bottle. Thanks alot, Eric

My guess is that it's a medicine bottle, and that T H M Co is somebody's name. For example: Thomas Hamilton Medicine Co. I think identifying the bust would be key. All purely speculation, of course!

I looked in Matt Knapp's WONDERFUL book and did not find a clue but it might be in there someplace. Of course it may not be medicine. Will stay tuned to see what others say. Jim

I agree Michael, I think that once we know what T.H.M. CO distributed or if we were able to identify/link the bust to someone that would be a key breakthrough...... And I'm with you too Jim, we'll just have to see what others have to say.....it's just this easy: someone somewhere knows something...lol...we just have to hope they get on here and share with us...thanks for your input guys...and let's just stay tuned, Eric
