I have two very old saddle flask. That's what i believe they are based on the research I've done. I don't know a lot about them but they are old. One of the bottles has part of the neck swirl broken off. I was wondering if anyone knew a way to tell where these bottles are from. I'm guessing they are not from the United States. I'm not a collector of pontil bottles so I don't know much about them. I'm not looking to add them to my collection so if anyone has an appraisal that would be greatly appreciated. All i know about the bottles: Very heavy and dark green. Base of the bottles are dark and color gets lighter as you move to the neck. They're in great shape besides the one with a broken neck swirl. Thanks [attachment=bottle1.jpg][attachment=bottle 3.jpg]

Sorry to tell you this but those aren't that old. There are some that are old and from the area once known as Persia but those you picture were mass produced in the 60's 70's or 80's.I spoke to a guy that was offered 3 crates full of them at $10 per bottle but there was something like 50 in each crate so he passed on them.
