Hi All,I recently found this bottle on a dive. It looks like a utility bottle to me but I am not sure. Also on the base is an embossing that reads "T A Lytle & Co Toronto". I am unable to find any information on this company. If any one could help with what the bottle was used for, age, etc, that would be great! Thanks! T.A. Lytle & Co. (and other incarnations of the company) were a Toronto-based food processor established as early as the 1890s. They made pickles and other preserves, condiments, ketchup, juices, etc. The 1908 date referred to above is when the firm moved into a new plant on Sterling Ave. The bottles don't command much interest among collectors unless labelled, I'm afraid.
