This jar is 6-sided (faceted) AND curved with wood grain texture impressed on it. I'm so curious to know what it was for and how old it may be. I can't find another example of it anywhere. It looks like it has the numbers 715096 on the bottom and a few other letters I'm not quite sure of.

There were so many design patents it's likely you won't find out unless a labeled one shows up. It sort of looks like a cocktail sauce or maybe a fancy jelly to me. 1930's???

that looks yellowish, kinda like vasoline glass. if it's not very big, it might be a salt or pepper shaker. just a thought.
