I finally got my first insulator's. I have been wanting to collect them for quite some time. These I got at the Detroit/Metro bottle show just this past Nov 6th. I don't think nothing special but I got a great deal for the lot. (side story, the guy who sold them to me turned out to be someone who worked with my girlfriend's Dad as chief elevator inspectors in the city of Detroit. Small world.)

That's a great start! Those were universally used nationwide, my first ones were nearly the same, except for the 510-X. Bet someone online, has some ideas, and a working setup, for your yard pond illumination.

iggyworf, wish you lived a lot closer, I've got a group of nine assorted insulators that have been on Craigslist and several Facebook garage sale sites for a while with no one showing any interest. I'm only asking $15 for the lot of them. Would be happy to sell them to you to enlarge your collection as I'm not interested in them, I only ended up with them after I bid on a lot of assorted bottles and insulators at an auction. The pics. I'm adding are the ones I was hoping to sell. I'd offer to ship them to you but shipping would be high and a bit of a pain to try to package for safe shipping. MIKE

Most of those appear to be minimum value and pretty common, that may be why no one is interested. They sell good at yard sales though, I sold about 20 of them at a yard sale for $1 a pop. I think some people do art or crafts with them.

Mike, thanx for that offer. But you are right in that many of them would be heavy and expensive to ship. Yeah i do have lighting ideas to do with some for around my 'ponds' (if I ever get around to putting them in)

I know they aren't worth much, I see them all the time at antique stores when I wander through looking for soda bottles, usually they are $3 each or less. I thought someone may be interested in nine of them for only $15. I've seen some nice craft ideas on some different websites. I'm actually thinking about trying to make a lamp or two with some of the bigger ones but from what I've researched online, drilling through the glass to run the wire takes a bit of skill and some practice to get just right. I may mess with it some day. MIKE

Mike, if we lived close to each other I would give you 15$ for all 9. That's 1.66$ each. Great deal. Keep trying to sell them. Hopefully someone comes thru. Yeah I always wanted to try and drill thru them also. But never tried yet. My idea is something like a xmas lite inside each one but from under them, not drilling a hole. For around my ponds.
