Hello All,
My son found a few bottles in the creek near the house Saturday, a few meds and the bottle/cup/glass.. featured in the post..
Looking IN the cup reads 'N0. 71 PAT.IN.US DEC.22.1903, JULY.17.1906
Any help appreciated,
Tom

Bottom shot(text a## backwards), The cup was covered w/ green scale , I've cleaned cup to clear glass after the posted pics.

Hey Tom, Good to hear from you. My mom told me that those came with sandwich spread in them. Like the lunch meat we get in resealable plastic packs. Deviled ham, pimento and relish loaf like stuff.

He just found them laying on the bottom in the sand and creek pebbles, after a good rain the bottom shifts around and you can see the side of a bottle that has surfaced.. the bad part is, sometimes you find a good bottle and it looks like it has been sand blasted..

alabasterbottle,

as capsoda saidthey were for sandwich spreads, but i was always told they were jams or jelly jars and when they were empty they could be used as drinking glasses. i have found a lot of these in new jersey.
