went out for a short dig with Shag and didn't have much luck at first but found a few cork tops in the end . Shag had some luck found a few himself hope he post them later but this is a few of what we found

The one next to the broken ink,2nd pic up from here, is a shoe black. It had a daubber with a wood lid, and usually had a paper label. I actually seen one at the antique mall in Logan the other day with paper label and all.[;)] Nice digs guys!

hey guys keep digging , the great seal is the oldest, semi automatic, these r common but havent seen that one, the one in the dirt is a pharmacy bottle hey try to dig deeper mike

thanks mike went out yesterday to dig alittle more came across somemilk class bottles but hope to find more when i go deeper got a few places to try and find more will see whats there

I think abandoned canals have lots of potential as most of them went out of date early enough. Besides bottles being pitched overboard, after they were abandoned the canal beds would have made great dumps, if you can only figure out where. Also there had to be a lock house dump/privy every so often.
