We purchased some milk bottles at a auction this weekend. One of them says Alcoa Dairy Phone - 257 -J.
I have found out that Alcoa Aluminum operated a dairy in Alcoa Tennessee at some point. How can i find out more information about the age of this bottle.

Owens-Illinois Glass company made the bottle. The plant code is either 8 or 18 , so either Glassboro, NJ plant or Columbus Ohio plant. Sorry I know nothing about the dairy, just noticed the marks on the bottom of the bottle. I have an old qt milk bottle but it doesn't have any marks like that. I do have an old gallon glass jug with a wooden handle that has a similar mark. I believe the 1 to the right of the symbol means 1941.
https://sha.org/bottle/pdffiles/OwensIll_BLockhart.pdf shows the plant number chart.
https://www.blm.gov/historic_bottles/pdffiles/OwensIll_BLockhart.pdf shows the explanation of the marks (plant and date).
If the date is 1941 for the bottle, at least that's a start.
