BANG! Soda Bottle? Ever hear of it???????

20160406_162252.jpg20160406_162307.jpg20160406_162202.jpg20160406_162225.jpg20160406_162327.jpg :boom:

This is a mystery to us... will very much appreciate any comments. I've scoured the internet for pictures, information about this vintage bottle with no luck at all. No images, no Bang! soda, no nothing.

The bottom says "Duraglas" and I believe its in the 1950 era. It says "Contents 6 fl oz"

Apologize for not cleaning the bottle, but the label is fragile and cleaning it might damage the images. We just dug it from a dump in New Hampshire.

As you can see in the picture it says "BANG!" with a battleship firing a cannon. :flag:

Any clues are greatly appreciated!!!!

I asked over at Collector's Weekly and its still a mystery.

It doesn't have any location information on the bottle. I've searched and even called a few bottling distributors with no luck yet. Waiting on email from other sources. Thanks

I found one (that I still have) in a riverside dump in Warren, New Hampshire when I was a kid. It is a very cool bottle but I've never searched for where it was from.

My example and all examples I am aware of have the same base embossing...they all date from 1951. Seems to have been a short-lived product. Whereabouts in NH are you digging? Probably was relatively small distribution so that might give a clue.

1950 was the 150th anniversary of PNS, maybe something around Portsmouth?... And Conner Bottling Works was then and still is in operation. Try writing them, all that can happen is they are, aren't or don't know.
Just thinking.

I haven't seen it before , from looking at the bottle its likely from 40's-50's era but more than likely 50's , the bang reference would seem to fit into the world war 2 era as well is Korean war and cold war periods I'd suspect . sort of make sense for the time period , its not something you'd put on a pop bottle these days
