Was out digging today and found this old button. It from the Augusta Police Dept. On the back it has Pettibone Bros Mfg. Co. Cinn. O. I tried ding some research on this button and it looks like they were around in the early 1900's. Maybe someone out there can tell me a little something about this button.I do know that the Augusta Police Dept. used to be metro police dept. until around the 1990's where they consolidated with the rural area as well. Seeing this button makes me curious about the uniforms from this era.
