Here are some picture of some of my 2016 gets.
The Monogram Rye is more than likely Rieger's Monogram Rye Whiskey from Kansas City. After searching around on the net for other Monogram rye's and the fact that I found it in a local antique mall and the other Mongram's do not seem to have been sold in KC, I'm in the "probably" category on this one. The Excelsior Springs adver. jug is local. They bottled in KC around 1905-1915. The A Perriard bottle is from Rochester, NY and dates from the mid 1860's. It has been on ebay several times and I finally bought it to go with my Erie Canal collection. After several hours of guessing and searching, using fultonhistory.com and Ancestry, I was able to get a first name for the A. Anthony. the A Perriard and Co paid federal tax from 1864 to 1866. Not much other than that and a predecessor company was Perriard & Damotte in the 1864 Rochester city directory. The Jacob House and Sons from Buffalo goes with the others from this extended family of New York bottlers. This brings my family total to 30 different bottles at this time.
I'm gonna post a few more on the soda bottle page because they are not that old and fit more with that theme.
You got questions? I got answers.

One reads CREAM NECTAR, another ???? NECTAR. What is that? I've never seen NECTAR embossed on a bottle. Is that rare or common in other parts of the country?
Jim a Westerner.

P.S. Now I can see they both have the word CREAM. Fascinating!

Jim, as far as I can tell, from my limited time researching "cream nectar" it appears to be a style of soda possibly like today's cream soda, which is high on vanilla taste. I know that cream soda is common in the New York area. There is an earlier bottle from Mr. Thomas and his partner Carpenter. They broke up in 1863.
