Why would there be a cork in a crown top?

I believe that these were more of a decoration or a promotional type bottle which never held soda, and all the ones I've seen have had corks. I know these are fairly small bottles (I don't think the whole bottle is over 5 inches tall) so I'd assume it'd just be easier to use a cork than to have an abnormally small crown cap.

Good luck with the bottle!

I have 1 on it's way now through eBay with shipping and tax it was $286 and empty bottle excellent condition. That was me paying less than his asking. Very grateful to the seller for reducing the price a tad for me
