M. H. Chamberlain, Silver Rye, Detroit, Michigan.

Info from one site:
"M.H. Chamberlain Co. Distillery was located in Detroit Michigan and was in operation from about 1879 to 1900. The company was a whiskey, bourbon, and rye distillery operation, which their advertising items rarely surface. After 1900, the company became known as C.H. Ritter & Co and it continued the Chamberlain brand name."

I dated this to be circa 1888 because it was made by Queen City Silver Co., which is supposed to have begun in that year.

Amusing note, it froze to my bare, wet skin, so I brought it inside for the photos (11 F or -11.6 C degrees out).

I'm afraid none have been put up on e-Bay recently, so I cannot determine a value to put on it. The silver has almost 100% worn off all but the bottom and inside cap, too. I don't have a worthpoint account, so I don't know what the tea pot sold for, either. It appears that the tea pots are more common, though, which is not a surprise.

Nice pun, Sun Runner. ;)

While I couldn't find another decanter online, I do believe there are a couple out there as these would have been given away to bars, at least one each. While they may need only one decanter, though, they would need multiple tea pots for multiple tables, hence why the tea pots are seen (from my research).
