I've never done this before and unfortunately I forgot my spade but I will definitely be going back with a spade and a garden fork and digging down to see what I find. I had great fun, very interesting and if you see anything interesting in the video give me a shout. Any advice, tips or feedback is more than welcome and armed with my new knowledge I'll go back there again in a few days and do it properly.

as I have commented in the other site . the dump or tip as you call them over there , is from the early 20th century. and most of what I had seen in the video looks like common bottles that other diggers have left behind . the pottery is good , and any thing that is embossed and looks hand made is also worth keeping.
