Can anyone tell me if it's unique or the age?

I've found several of the straight sided coke bottles from Rome, GA but they look different than this one.

I only have footage of the dirty bottle, my dad took it home with him to clean it so I can get better video when I see him again.

It still has the cork inside the bottle, which everything I read says it was a press top similar to the modern caps we have.

The Coca Cola Script looks so thin like written with a pen. Odd looking that thin. post a pic when cleaned. As for age I'm going to guess roughly between 1900-1915 approximately. How many SS Cokes did you find or have? Nice find. Congrats. LEON.

I found 3-4 straight sides, all from Rome GA except this one.

One from Rome was purple amethyst but it was broken up at the top.

I really don't know much about them but I'm trying to learn now.

I guess I found 8 that were the 1915 patented.

The Alatnta straight side Coke is one of the more common ones, but not sure about that one with what looks like thin lettering? Maybe a Coke specialist with more knowledge in here can comment. LEON.

I found 8 of them total, here they are:

The one in the middle of the first picture is a purple color. The coke website I was reading said all amethyst bottles are fake but this surely isn't, I found it in the same dig hole as the others with other late 1800-1930 period bottles.

Here is a close up of the one in the video, cleaned:

Here is one that must be a molding error

They're all 1915 and straight sides, the best are statesboro, ga and alexandria, La

Great stuff!....that amethyst is real!...the website is misinforming people to an extent, yes some are fakes and have been irradiated. We have amethyst bottles up here in Canada as well....of course they seem to command a good dollar!

I can't see how that amethyst bottle could possibly be fake ? it was dug from a dump of older bottles and has damage and obvious age to it . not really an expert on coca cola bottles although I have found a fair number of them over the years

I think what the site meant was the really dark purple bottles are fake. The real light pink ones are real, I've got a few light pink ones myself & some I've found myself. If they lay on the surface of a dump for many years exposed to the sun they will turn that light pink. LEON.
