never seen it before , it has a recipe for waffles on one side , that is odd , I'm really not sure it contained maple syrup though . I've found bottles I had though were for maple syrup before and later found out were for olive oil or other uses

does it say anywhere on it that it contained maple syrup ?

I think it's petty cool. Not sure of the closure. If maple syrup that might be a drip edge or maybe a kind of off brand Priof or Kork N Seal? It's Hazel Atlas but I never had much luck with they're numbering system if that's what it is. I'd guess 20's or 30's.
How different are the recipes? Do I see decoration around the neck and if so, does it resemble maple leaves?
Anyway, I'd find a re-purpose for it.

Thanks, but no other markings on this bottle, other than recipes and markings on bottom. Just a guess as to Maple Syrup use. Thanks in advance for further information. Recipes follow:

1 ½ cups flour
3 Teaspn Baking Powder
½ Teaspn salt
2 Eggs
1 cup milk
2 Tblspn melted shortening
1 Tblspn sugar
Measure, mix and sift dry ingredients together.
Add milk and egg yolks, beat well.
Add melted butter.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Bake on hot iron

GRIDDLE CAKES
2 cups flour
4 Teaspn baking powder
½ Teaspn salt
2 eggs
1 ½ cups milk
3 Tblspn melted shortening
1 Tblspn sugar
Measure, mix and sift according to instructions given for waffles on opposite side of this bottle.

Doesn't look much like any maple syrup bottle I've seen but it still could very well be one. Whereabouts are you located? It could likely be corn syrup as well.
