I recently dug this Dark Amber SS marked 6 1/2 oz. Bottle, it is a Crescent Brand, Union Bottling Co. (Memphis, Tenn.) but not marked with the city , all three dug near the company neighborhood, which was on Union Avenue. Third one, in thirty years, anyone know if it was a Beer or was it a Soda? The mold line runs thru the near center of the faux slug plate brand logo, some have real slug plates. Has a big 1 on the back heel , so probably 1901 manufacturer made. Nice Crescent moon on the base. Union Bottling Company had many Memphis and West TN soda brands, but this one has always baffled me. Looking on this sites database, I found both beers and sodas in several states with the Crescent trademark. Thanks.
