Me & Tom got out again today. Tom kept calling this privy the Ash Hole because we had to dig threw a 2 foot layer of white ash. This one probably got 6 or 7 feet deep. seen remnants of the wood wall way down near bottom 2 or 3 feet. Wasn't finding much, a quart aqua crown top slick. tooled top, not abm. then a few katsup. found some funky looking hand grenade looking bottle. Then a Schlitz quart aqua crown top. Pics below. LEON. Then I thought it was getting exciting when we dug one of my favorites, The Biewers Brewery from Mt. Clemens Michigan. Top was broken off so we did not know if it was a blob or crowntop? Then we dug about 4-5 more, all broken but some we could see were crown tops. Tom was not happy, he don't like crowntops, he wants blobs. These were found before the white ash layer. P1060672.jpg

Below the white Ash layer we started popping out some unbroken Biewers amber crowntops. tooled top no abm. maybe dating around 1900-1910. I got the ABM Biewers & they are actually different then these older slugplate crowntops.P1060671.jpgP1060673.jpgP1060676.jpg

Then we pulled out 2 Biewers P1060692.jpgP1060677.jpg that were different, no slugplate & the Brewery info up closer to neck or shoulder of bottle. Similar to my ABM version but still different.P1060678.jpg

we found a bunch of Ball & Mason jars, we usually do & they are usually broken. BUT, This time I pulled out a big quart P1060679.jpgP1060680.jpgor 2 quart? Mason jar with the Patent 1858. I know common, but this one had a cool looking insignia I liked. I dug a few of these before with this insignia, most I dig don't have a insignia & some have a Maltese cross if I remember right.
