I wanted a Battle Creek Sanitarium bottle to go along with my plate and postcard from them. With it also came the labeled Battle Creek druggist bottle. I think I dated the labeled one to late 1910s.
Also, I've had the White Pine, but I coloured it a little for fun.

I have recently started painting my pharmacy bottles embossing using a sort of felt tip pen that is supposed to be more permanent than normal. The tip needs to be firm, the ink or paint not too runny. What do you use Bear? I want black & white.

I use medium- and fine-tip painters pens and, albeit not in this case, a needle to scrape away any slop-over paint after it dries. These are unfinished, just quickly done. LOL.
When they get too runny, I put the tip on an absorbent paper towel for a moment. Too dry, and I lick it.

Thanks Bear, I also tried the painters pens (white) but the paint is too runny. I'll try the paper blotter trick. Thanks
