Here they are cleaned. The mystery Can turned out to be a Rupperts also.

The tougher Withdrawnfree variation. Or it was until the added the disregard lid. Nice find. LEON.

I was wondering about that Leon. I've never seen a Disregard before.

That's common on OD (Olive Drab Camouflage WW11 cans) & Withdrawnfree cans. Just means they were originally intended to be sent overseas at first. Since the top lid is added last after being filled, if the withdrawnfree status changed for what ever reason it was just easier to make the change to the lid. Probably sold state side a.k.a. in USA on Military base's. LEON.

P.S. Here's a Pfeiffer OD top lid.pfiefferodtoplid.jpg

Interesting. I do know Soldiers trained out here as in the past and on this last hunt we found Military related artifacts. And do you know what the 47 10 means on that bottom lid?

I'm no expert on that bud. I thought 1947 but then got to thinking the WF cans pre date that date right?

No, Misconception that all withdrawnfree cans are Military related. SO, Withdrawnfree cans can range from 1935 to 1950, same as all IRTP cans. I had a withdrawnfree 1936 Schlitz low pro Vitamin D cone before. Which had nothing to do with any military action. Just meant it was exported overseas. LEON.

Very cool Leon. I need to dig one of those now. I dig quite a few Vitamin D cans already, but no WF.

Any withdrawnfree can is a good can. Good luck digging more. LEON.
