Today's neighborhood finds, from 2 sites about a block apart.
The umbrella ink is typical late 19thC, BIM, teal. No embossing. 1870s (?)
The Calder's Dentine is clear, BIM, embossed with logo. 1880s–90s (?)

Definitely the right vintage to be hunting for.
Jim S.
Thx Jim. The city expanded into this area during 1865–95, so with all the current development going on, I'm getting a pretty good look at those household discards—meds, inks, soaps & powders, pepper sauces, and mineral waters. Nothing crazy rare, but a few oddities, like that Bengal Sauce from the UK.

Calder's was around awhile—from the 1870s to the 1930s, so I can't say for sure w/o a pic of your bottle, but given the site I found this one, and some of the other artifacts there, I'm guessing 1880s–90s on mine. Feel free to post a pic tho.

Also, some cool company history can be found here.
