I just picked up this stoneware quart, It's from Winnipeg MB Canada,...I'm not totally sure of the age, has the maker mark Price/Bristol with the number 15.
This is really out of my collecting realm (stoneware) but I just had to have this as it's such a cool piece! Most of these stoneware I have seen from western Canada seem to be the 10oz size.
The only other bottle I have from this company is this 1905? aprox?...as it has a tooled crown. and the trade mark logo is similar with the exception that the stone bottle has a cool horse shoe.
I do believe there are a couple of hutch bottles from this company, I definitely know more about the tail end of this bottler from the 1960's era but that's because it's soda can related, another area of my collecting.

Very nice! That's one of my favourite Canadian stoneware bottles, don't think I've ever seen one in person. I've got one of their bottles, similar to your tooled crown only without the long-winded warning on the side. I think I've seen pictures of those hutches as well but they're certainly not common at all, not nearly as common as the crown tops.

I've seen some other bottles from blackwoods Winnipeg before , mostly online but I haven't seen any stoneware bottles before , it seems to have been a very large bottler in that city

Once in a while, leather is used in certain applications with potable liquids. The only remaining use, though, is in yard hydrants. Rubber couldn't replace everything.
