Pine Hill Crystal Springs, from Ulster, N.Y., began in 1901. In 1919, they were contracted to provide 2,000 barrels of
ginger ale, root-beer, and sarsaparilla, leading to expanded operations and increased employment.

I have forgotten when, but the American government decided near 1910 that the amount of contents in a consumer-purchased bottle or container must be listed in standard accepted ounces, pints, gills, drams, gallons....
As such, this bottle can be more accurately dated than by just the FDA 1906 date on it. We will say, until someone can provide the law's issuing date, that the label is c. 1908.

The round-bottomed bottle also features an applied top, which is a nice addition. It was either made on the Eastern sea-board or was a re-used import from Europe/U. K. Made in a snap-case, as shown by the unbroken line connecting the side seams as shown below.

It took some thought, but I got it to stand safely without having a big, ugly holder covering up the glass as it stands in my cupboard.

Nice find! Paper labels like that aren't easy to come by. I'd love to get some from my area but I basically never see them come up for sale.

Thank you, Leon. What really set it apart, though, was the applied, not just tooled, crown top.

Canadian Bottles, most labels aren't common outside of meds and beers, I've noticed. Even then, though, to find specific brands is harder.
