Is this a pontil?

I found this 3 piece mold bottle with a dot in the center of the base with some sort of mold suction on the bottom. I was wondering if this was a pontil bottle. I was also wondering the age range. It was found with 1840s-1870s shards.

Yep, another blowpipe was used to empontil, or hold the hot bottle while the blowpipe was separated from the neck of the bottle. The top was then applied separately and tooled to shape, after which the pontil was snapped from the base.
