I put this on last week for help ID'ing,(thanks again Nhpharm)found out its from 1864. Now wondering about pontil or not. Is this what they call polished pontil? Is it even a pontil mark at all, If not what is this style called?

Your bottle was blown in a post-bottom mold. It may or may not have been empontiled . . . Are there bit of sand or ground glass in the circular depression? A pontil scar is rarely, if ever, polished away on a utility bottle like this one. That process is typically reserved to art glass objects.
