I know it's from Chicago (dug it in Waukegan) but I've only seen one other. Imperial Brewing & Bottling Co. [crown] Chicago. I like the name, picture, and the look of this solid looking bottle. I was showing a buddy how I dig bottles, wasn't really expecting to find anything, and this bottle rolled out of a thin trash layer about an inch thick. He was pretty intrigued at that point. I lost touch with him but I wonder if he ever got the bug. hutch_chicago_crown.jpg

It's even better when you dug it yourself! Cool bottle!

I like the crown on it, first bottle I seen that says brewing & bottling. What year would you say it is? 1880's?

The style and so forth looks early 1900's...I'd guess 1900-1905 or so.

I see it's listed on Hutchbook.com but not pictured. You should send them a picture. Since it was only in operation from 1897-1898, less then 2 short years I'd guess it's a rare one. LEON.

P.S. Reminds me of my Kings New York Salad Dressing bottle
