Hello, I'm new to posting on the forum although your posts have helped me identify many of my bottles. I found this nice bottle in a site around Columbia, SC with other 1920's to 1940's bottles. It's quite heavy for it's size and says "4 LGW2" on the heel. No discernible mark on the base. Thank you!

that style of bottle was used by several brands but by what little bit of label left i would say that it is a Toms soda bottle.

Thank you. It does look similar to a Tom's but all of the older ones I found images for are embossed with "Tom's". Also, my son looked at it closely and he can make out some letters and words left from the original label. It says "The Nation's Sensation" and "7up bottling company"

it's hard to tell with so little of the label left but the only other soda i've seen with style of bottle had a blue on white acl instead of red on white like the toms. there are about 7 or 8 different styles of toms bottles. some of them had the toms embossing and some didn't. if you find out it's something other than toms please post.

Don't think I'd call it a Art Deco bottle which usually date to the 1920's. Looks like a 1930-40's paper label bottle.
